Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive in a message has supported and welcomed Helmand peace activists and their civil move.
“The move is showing that peace is a need and the desire of all Afghans. National unity government has shown its intention and good will in connection with peace in the country. Fortunately, the unilateral ceasefire was also responded by the Taliban group. This has proved that both sides want peace and I hope that Taliban now respond to the nation’s demand and commence peace talks,” the message said.
In his message, the country’s chief executive assured the Helmand peace activists that national unity government has serious determination for bringing peace to the country and makes use of all opportunities in this regard, urging the Taliban group to respect the people’s will and commence peace talks with the government.
