Kabul (BNA) President Karzai in a telephonic contact with Asif Ali Zardai President of Pakistan congratulated him and the people of Pakistan over successful elections in that country.
He added that the Pakistani nation despite the terrorist threats went to the polling boxes and they proved that democracy is triumphs over terrorism and extremism.
The Pakistani president while thanking president Karzai stressed that Afghanistan and Pakistan should continue cooperation especially in struggle against terrorism.
