Senate Discusses Report of Interior Minister

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by its chairman Fazel Hadi Muslimyar, the senators assessed different aspects of activities of interior ministry.
The senators evaluated security situation in the country and praised the sacrifices of the security forces.
They also discussed advancement of the Pakistani and Iranian security forces in some border regions of the country.
The need for equipping of the police forces, increase in the organization structure of the local police, attention towards their food and accommodation, corruption at the police apparatus, non-availability of program for meeting of members of National Assembly with interior minister, robbery of money of the Afghanistan Bank at the Nuristan province, insecurity in highways, incident of Ashura day at the dormitory of Kabul University and a series of other issues.
At the meeting Minister of Interior Affairs promised that he will address the proposals and views of the senators.
He added that in less than three months that he started work he has been summoned for 18 times at the commissions of the National Assembly and twice a week he is engaged at the cabinet and national Security Council meetings and it is difficult for him to better address the problems pending at the interior ministry.
He noted that he has started basic reforms in the police forces.
