Kabul (BNA) 572 Taliban insurgents were killed overnight during attacks by security and defense forces in different parts of the country.
Fowad Aman, the Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of National Defense told BNA, in clashes and attacks by defense and security forces, 572 Taliban were killed in Nangarhar, Laghman, Ghazni, Paktia, Paktika, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Farah, Jawzjan, Sar-e-Pul, Faryab, Helmand, Nimroz, Takhar, Badakhshan, and Kapisa, and 309 other Taliban were wounded.
Large quantities of Taliban weapons and ammunition were also destroyed in the attacks.
Also, 14 different types of mines have been discovered and neutralized.
