NUG Leaders Saddened By Former Education Minister Hanif Balkhi’s Demise

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani expressed his deep sadness on the demise of Dr. Asadullah Hanif Hanif Balkhi, former Minister of Education of the country, Bakhtar News Agency reported Tuesday.
“Dr. Hanif Balkhi did much for the young generation of the country, during his long period of tenure as minister of education,” the agency quoted the president as saying.
The president wished paradise for late Balkhi’s soul and extended his deep condolence to his family and friends, the agency said.
According to another report, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, also, in a message, expressed sadness over the demise of late Balkhi and said the deceased Dr. Balkhi was a knowledgeable, home-loving and tolerant personality who spent most of his life in the service of the country and the people.
His death is undoubtedly a loss to the cultural, academic society and education of Afghanistan, the message says.
In his message, the country’s chief executive wished paradise to the deceased Dr. Balkhi and offered condolence and sympathy to the remained.
According another report, Second Vice President Sawar Danesh in a separate message has condoled the demise of Dr. Asadullah Hanif Balkhi.
In his message, Second Vice President considered the death of Dr. Balkhi as a loss to the country’s education sector, appreciating his services and efforts at the ministry of education.
Danesh by offering condolence and sympathy to the deceased family and wished him paradise.
Late Balkhi demise was due to critical illness he was long suffering.
