Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani chaired the weekly session of the National Procurement Commission in ARG yesterday morning, presidential press office reported BNA.
The Second Vice-President Mohammad Sarwar Danish, Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Finance Minister Eklil Hakimi, Justice Minister Dr. Abdul Basir Anwar, and Economy Minister Abdul Sattar Muradi were also present in the meeting.
The meeting evaluated contracts from the Ministries of Public Works, Communications and Information Technology, Rural Rehabilitation and Development as well as Kabul Municipality. Some contracts were approved while others were deferred to the next session for further study and/or modifications. In this session, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology was instructed to prepare a clear presentation on all of its fiber optics projects. Likewise, the Ministry of Public Works was asked to have a line for cost of maintenance in all of its contracts. At the end of the meeting, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani also advised the Ministry of Finance to ensure that payments for contractors are made based on the progress of projects.
