CE Expresses Gratitude Over Italy Assistance, Sacrifices To Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah had a farewell meeting with ambassador of Italy in Sapidar Palace whose term of office as ambassador of Italy is ended in Afghanistan. During this meeting, CE expressed his gratitude over assistance and sacrifices rendered by the people and government of Italy in various fields within recent years to Afghanistan and commemorated from the prominent role of outgoing ambassador of Italy in expansion and tightening relations between the two countries.
In continuation of his assertions, CE Abdullah expressed hope the friendly relations between the two countries be continued and the Italy keeps its presence beside the people of Afghanistan.
Likewise, CE wished the ambassador success in his upcoming missions.
Thanking from the Chief Executive and people of Afghanistan the ambassador of Italy regarded constructive and vital the tenure of his mission in Afghanistan for expansion and strengthening of ties between the two countries and hoped this relation continues as constructive.   He also added: as a friend of the people of Afghanistan, he would continue on its cooperation to the people of Afghanistan and defending from their cause.
According to another report, Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met yesterday with special representative and ambassador of European Union in Sapidar Palace on recent political and military changes, relation between Afghanistan and European Union, electoral reform as well as counter corruption.
