President Should Fix The Date For Parliamentary Elections: Senate

Kabul (BNA) The Senate with Fazl Hadi Muslimyar on the chair in its session yesterday urged the president to fix the date for parliamentary elections. 
During the preceding variety of issues including the security situation of the districts of Ali Abad, Chardara and Dasht-e-Archi in Kunduz were discussed and also in the meeting the senate appreciated the courage of the national security forces in foiling the enemies’ vicious designs there.
Stressing for the work of acting provincial governors, the senate also urged the president to fix the time for holding parliamentary elections and district councils.
The senators also expressed concerns over reported supporting of the Taliban by Iran, Government failure to issue electronic ID card, abducting travelers by Taliban and some subjects including security incidents in some parts of the country.
According to another report, the Senate in a message issued yesterday also congratulated Ramadan the month of fasting falling on Thursday, to the Muslims of the world especially the people of Afghanistan.
In the message, the senate besides praying for prosperity and the end of conflicts in the country called upon all warring sides in Afghanistan and other Islamic countries to avail opportunity and give up fighting or at least make ceasefire during the month of Ramadan.
