Kabul (BNA) Dr. Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met the other day with Speaker of parliament for Republic People of China, Xian Du Jiang.
In the meeting, Speaker of the Chinese parliament asked for relations between both countries and considered it as a good chance for exchanging experiences between parliaments of the two countries. Speaker of the Chinese parliament while asking for strengthening of friendship and extension of cultural relations between the two countries considered security issue of Chinese investors in Afghanistan as significant. In return, Dr. Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan welcomed exchanging of experiences in various sections between Afghanistan and China and while representing both houses of Afghanistan’s national assembly, President Ghani asked them to pay visit to Afghanistan in the future. President Ghani also briefed Speaker of the Chinese parliament of Afghanistan’s new government’s serious determination for reforms, national infrastructure’s plan and serious measures for improvement of Afghanistan’s security. Considering peace as a significant need, President Ghani said National Unity Government was committed to maintaining peace in the country, asking China for vital role in this regard.
