CM Economic Committee Holds Meeting

Kabul (BNA) The Council of Ministers Economic Committee with Second Vice-President Mohammad Karim Khalili on the chair held meeting yesterday, BNA reported.
In the beginning of the meeting the request of oil companies for reducing custom duty on importing crude oil was discussed.
The custom duty for importing crude oil, according to the said companies has recently increased from 2.5pc to 8pc and the companies requested for reducing the custom duty by 2.5pc.
During the meeting, it was decided that the proposal of the companies for reduction of the custom duty to refer to the Council of Ministers.
The Chambers of Commerce and Industries forwarded the proposals of those shopkeepers whose shops were damaged in Shuhadai Saliheen neighborhood due to fire to be compensated by the government and the committee decided that the affected people should be supported in the line with the constitution after thorough investigation.
