Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with Minister of Energy of Iran, Reza Ardakanian in his office on Wednesday, BNA reported.
During the meeting both sides discussed and exchanged views on technical cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two countries in order to optimize the use of natural energy and the expansion of trade and transit cooperation between the two countries in Chabahar Port, the statement said. President Ghani, while emphasizing on the cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector and infrastructure development, said our agenda should be to work on appropriate roadmaps for the use of natural energy in the region.
Chabahar Port as a commercial and transit port should promote, develop and further enhance both countries and regions, the statement added.
In his turn, Reza Ardakanian while mentioning about the good relations between the two countries stated that Iran and Afghanistan have good capacities for producing wind and solar energies in the region and the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to share its experiences with Afghanistan in this field.
