MoF, Kuwait Bank Ink Agreement Worth $7 Million

Kabul (BNA) High-ranking officials of Ministry of Finance and the Afghanistan Bank led by minister of finance Ekleel Hakimi will participate in annual sessions of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank which was held for three days in Lima, capital city of Peru.
In sideline of the sessions, minister of finance has signed a grant costing $ 7 million with deputy of Kuwait Bank for development of Arabic countries Heyshim Aloqayan. Based on the agreement, food immunity would improve in Afghanistan. In the sessions, minister of finance delivered speech related to Afghanistan government’s development programs for absorption of urgent and long-term assistance, Afghanistan’s short-term, mid-term and long-term programs and also the government’s reform agenda and preparations for another sessions to be held in future in Warsaw and Brussels. Meanwhile, Afghanistan delegation has met with donor partners of Afghanistan including leading groups of World Bank, IMF, US secretary of finance and head of DANIDA. Annual session of IMF and World Bank are held annually among ministers of finance, central banks, private sector and universities lecturers discussing relevant issues to world’s concerns as world economic perspective, rooting out poverty, economic development and effectiveness of aids.
