EU Diplomats Assures Continued Cooperation with Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with ambassadors and diplomats of the European Union member states here at the Sapidar Palace on Sunday evening, a statement said yesterday.
During the meeting, Dr. Abdullah informed the foreign diplomats on views of the Chief Executive Office related to peace process, election and cooperation with EU member states, the statement from CE Press office told The Kabul Times daily.
Dr. Abdullah also thanked EU’s cooperation with Afghanistan and their support of the election process in the country. EU member countries’ diplomats assured of their continued cooperation with Afghanistan, the statement added.
According to another report, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with a number of youths from western Badghis province here in his office yesterday, a statement from CE press office told The Kabul Times daily.
Badghis youths asked CE Abdullah to address their issues, including the insecurities, saying government had earlier pledged to suppress the insurgents. They also emphasized on transparency of the election process; the statement added.
Emphasizing on transparency of the election process, CE Abdulalh said the line organs would be instructed to address insecurity issues in Badghis, according to the statement.
