CM Economic Committee Discusses Water Supply, Uplift Projects

Kabul (BNA) At the meeting initially, the head of water supply and canalization presented a detailed report on plan and difficulties in supplying of potable water for the Kabul city and provinces and proposed that for expansion of water supply plan in all Kabul city and self-reliance of the department in terms of financial needs, the water supply tariff should be increased. 
The economic committee meeting confirmed the proposal and the chairman of the committee emphasized that the remote parts and unplanned areas should also be involved in the water supply plan and other infrastructural projects. 
The minister of economy presented a report on the implementation of development projects and the expenditure of the development budget of last year of ministries and government departments. 
The report stated that insecurity, non-precise supervision of project execution and shortage of contract capacities are the basic problems for non-expending of the development budget and execution of the projects. 
The meeting also discussed the proposal of the ministry of commerce and industries about opening of bank account for industrial parks. 
The participants advanced a series of views and proposals on the impacts of this proposal in the growth of the industrial parks, increment of domestic products and exports and the meeting decided that this issue be resolved in consensus with finance ministry. 
The meeting also assigned a commission composed of representatives of finance, economy, agriculture, commerce and industries ministries and the AISA department led by Justice ministry so the in the light of laws and regulations, prepare a regulation for a independent executive department and its process is carried out. 
The national environment protection administration shared the report of the assigned commission for prevention of meat imports, animals and drains of foreign currency from the country and advanced some proposals in this respect. 
The meeting considering the importance of this issue assigned some members of the committee to study the proposals and share it in a coming meeting of the economic committee.
