Youth Addiction Serious Challenge, Deputy Minister

Kabul (BNA) Afghan youth addiction is being considered as the major challenge, where nearly three millions of the country’s population are addicted and more percentage of which are the young generation.
A meeting was held with participation of the deputy ministers from Ministries of Information and Culture, Counternarcotic, Higher Education, Education, Women Affairs, Economy, Public Health and Religious Affairs and with supports from the Colombo Plan NGO to discuss ways to prevent youth addiction.
Colombo plan is one of those organizations that seriously works to treat addicted youths, so that to help them get deprived of such ugly phenomenon in the society.
Addressing the meeting, Dr. Kamal Sadat, Deputy Minister on Youth Affairs of MoIC appreciated Colombo Plan NGO’s efforts and asked for enhancing cooperation in counternarcotic and prevention of youth addiction.
Secretary General of Colombo Plan NGO pledged to prevent youth addiction through implementation of major programs.
