Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai expressed satisfaction and congratulated Mahmoud Abbas over obtaining of the observer status by Palestine at the UN General Assembly.
In a letter President Karzai sent to Mahmoud Abbas it is said that I was informed with pleasure that the majority of the UN General Assembly in a majority vote granted to the Palestine State the observer status at the UN General Assembly that is a great victory for the Palestine state and people.
The letter adds that please allow me to represent the people of Afghanistan extend my congratulations to you and through you to the Palestine people.
The president expressed the hope that this victory of the Palestine people indicates their brave resistance in obtaining their rights and full independence.
