Kabul (BNA) Afghan political experts condemn Pakistani government for using Afghan refugees as a means against Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and as an income source from international community.
The politicians believe the Afghan refugees residing in Pakistan territory have changed in to a huge income source for that country and a source for exerting pressure on Afghanistan.
As the Pakistani government after the incidents recently occurred in Torkham increasing pressure on refugees using them as a political means against Afghanistan, on the other hand impels the international community particularly UN to financial support her for residing Afghan refugees in its territory.
After Torkham incident and UNHCR commissioner visit, Pakistani police have assessed the areas where Afghan refugees are living and accused Afghan refugees for terrorist activities.
As an evidence, the Pakistani national security advisor in his interview with a TV network of that country, has said that the Afghan refugees’ camps have changed in to a save heaven for terrorist groups. Because of these statements, the Afghan refugees are now under great pressure of Pakistan government that caused the concern of UNHCR.
UNHCR expressing concern over increasing pressures of Pakistan on Afghan refugees has said that Islamabad should not call all Afghan refugees living in that country terrorist.
UNHCR severely criticizing the dealing of Pakistan with refugees has said that we ask the Pakistani authorities and people not accuse the refugees for terrorism, because they are not terrorists. If a number of them were involved in criminal activities, they should pursuit according to the law but not consider refugees as terrorists.
Afghan political experts say that the recent measures of Pakistan against Afghan refugees is not a new move; since all Pakistan’s conspiracies and plots have been revealed and credible documents proved that Pakistan government for attracting the international community’s financial and huge cash aids uses refugees as a political means against Afghan people and government.
The politicians ask Pakistan to deal refugees as a vulnerable section of the society and should not involve them in political games and its distractive and ominous programs.
