We Should Remove Old Bureaucracy: President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has stressed for removing old bureaucracy and chalking out a comprehensive strategy to create organized city and homes.
Addressing the conference on “Situation of Afghanistan cities in 2015” here in Arg yesterday, the president, besides thanking concerned entities and the financial support of Australian government said that it is the first time that situation of Afghanistan cities and provincial capital of all 34 provinces has been reviewed. Revision of the situation of cities indicates that over the past several decades we had no policy on our cities, the president said, adding our cities instead of boosting economic activities and stability are facing chaotic situation.  All the properties would be provided with lawful and Sharia documents and each month 16,000 homes to be registered and all properties would be changed into legal one, the president said. President Ghani also said that the government is reviewing to shift to all ministries to Darul Aman locality. However, he noted that no ministry has the right to sell land and decision with regard to selling of ministries’ properties would be taken cabinet of the government.  Residents for the personnel of all Corps of the national army would be constructed next year, the president said.
The president also stated that connecting of city to village is essential for national market and therefore the government paying special attention in this sector.  In his message to the youth of the country, the president urged them for exercising patience and said that construction field would create job opportunities and the environment to create job opportunities moving to right direction. It has merit to mention that report on the situation of Afghanistan cities in 2015 is an accurate revision about centers of all provinces of the country which is photographed by satellite and indicates usable lands and informative on residential areas in provincial capitals. The report has been prepared by the ministry for urban development, independent directorate for local governance and Kabul Municipality in technical cooperation with UN Habitat and financial support of Australia. Minister for urban development, Sayed Mansoor Sadat Nadiri, British and Australian ambassadors and few others spoke at the conference.
