Kabul (BNA) Minister of Foreign Affairs, Salahuddin Rabbani met with his Italian counterpart, Paolo Gentiloni, here in Kabul, Bakhtar News Agency reported the other day.
According to the agency, the Italian foreign minister has arrived in the country to join the first session of the two countries joint cooperation and partnership commission here in Kabul.
The agency quoted the country’s foreign minister to have pointed to the 91st anniversary of the two countries’ establishment of diplomatic ties and welcomed the Italian foreign minister for extending high level cooperation with Afghanistan since the last 15 years, particularly the friendly country’s loss of 48 soldiers for defending security and stability of Afghanistan and thanked him of his country’s commitments towards continuation of cooperation with the country.
On his part, the Italian foreign minister denounced Tuesday’s terrorist attack assured of his country’s continued cooperation in different fields, particularly in economic and development areas and that to stay alongside the Afghan people, the agency said.
Both sides leading the first bilateral cooperation and partnership commission meeting, singed three contracts following a press conference.
