Senate’s Elects Administrative Panel For One Legislative Year

Kabul (BNA) In a session held under the chairmanship of Senate’s Chairman Fazil Hadi Muslimyar soon after swearing ceremony of senators, Senate’s chairman first praised President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani for his participation in swearing ceremony of new senators passing recently in provincial councils election and considered it as respect of presidential office to Senate.
Based on internal tasks’ principles, two senators as Anar Kali Hunaryar and Dr. Gul Ahmad Rasouli were temporarily selected as deputy chairman and secretary to manage administrative panel’s elections. Electing process of Senate’s administrative panel started with delivering strategy by candidates.
Eng. Hasibullah Kalimzai, Eng. Farhad Sakhi and Mohammad Alam Ezedyar were nominees for the post of first deputy chairman, Shir Mohammad Akhundzada, Saleh Mohammad known as Malem Lala Gul and Dr. Mohammad Asif Sediqi were nominees for the post of second deputy chairman, Nisar Ahmad Azami Haris, Fawzia Sadat Samkani and Mawlavi Abdullah Qarluq for secretary post and Gul Ahmad Azami and Najiba Hussain were nominees for Senate’s deputy secretary post.    
As a result of secret, direct and transparent polling, Mohammad Alam Ezedyar, senator from Panjshir province by getting 32 votes in second round of the election was elected as Senate’s first deputy chairman, Dr. Mohammad Asif Sediqi, a senator from Logar province by getting 40 votes was elected as second deputy chairman, Mawlavi Abdullah Qarluq, senator from Kunduz province by getting 38 votes elected as secretary and Najiba Hussaini by getting 36 votes was elected as Senate’s deputy secretary. At the end of the session, Senate’s chairman while offering congratulation to new administrative panel of Senate considered work of the session as positive and wished success for next affairs.
In the session, senators prayed to the soul of President Ghani’s aunt passing away yesterday.
