Khalili Chairs Council of Ministers Economic Committee Meeting

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Karim Khalili second voice-president and chairman of the CM Economic Committee chaired the meeting.
At the meeting Minister of Economy presented a report about status of implementing of development projects during third quarter of 1392. He said that the overall development budget invested USD 2680.166 million in 621 projects in security, good governance, natural resources, education, health, agriculture, rural development, social protection, economic management and development of private sector.
He stressed that during the first 9 months of 1392 over 30% of the budget in the development projects of the ministries and government departments were expended.
However, certain problems like procurement, limited capacities, absence of specialists and other factors were responsible for non-implementation of the development budgets and hopefully the expenditure of the development budget will reach up to 50% till the year end.
Meanwhile the issues pertaining to the Bostan Sabz farm in Barek Ab of Bagrami district of Kabul province due to the construction of a cold storage on the farm land was presented to the meeting.
It was said that the farm is useful project in development of agriculture in which work opportunity will be created for 20,000 farmers.
The meeting decided that to support investment, agriculture growth and removal of legal problems, the contract with the Bostan Sabz should cover the 80 jirib of land that is being used by it.
In another part of the meeting the proposal of the central Bank for creation of a commission consisting of intellectuals for selling of the valuable documents and shares, was discussed.
The Central Bank proposed that a commission of intellectuals should be formed selling and buying of the valuable documents and shares should be formed which was adopted by the meeting.
The deputy minister office for public protection of Interior Ministry and the security enterprise presented a report covering its performance in recent three months. The report said that in addition to collection of arms from the armed groups the income of this enterprise has increased 17% during the past three months and in the coming year it will reach close to 10 billion Afs.
Also, the casualties of the personnel of this office have been decreased up to 80 percent and it has adopted measures for protection of the oil tankers and containers on the highways of the country.
The meeting appreciating the performances of the deputy minister office for public protection and the security enterprise.
The meeting also decided that the problems of the Asia agricultural farm problems should be resolved with the cooperation of the independent land department and the deputy minister office for public protection of interior ministry.
