Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai had handed over all the eight souvenirs he had received from different heads of states and father of the nation to the chairman of Da Afghanistan Bank the other day.
According to BNA all the gifts, were handed over to chairman of the central bank Nurullah Dilawari by Shoja Mohammad Amal the director of cadre and personnel of president office, prince Mir Wais a member of father of nation family and Aziz Ahmad in a ceremony held in Arg.
The gifts include a 5kg gold-made door of Khana-e-Kaaba presented by Khadem al Haramain Sharifain, a sword with its cover, chain of gold presented by Shikh to the father of nation and some more gold-made gifts presented by Amir of Qatar and Amir of United Arab Emirates.
President Karzai has presented all the gifts he had received over the past 13 years from heads of states and governments, to the national treasury.
Receiving the precious gifts, Nurullah Dilawari thanked the president and said they will be kept in the bank.
