Pakistan Rejects Involvement In Afghan Parliament Attack

Saturday, June 27, 2015

Kabul (BNA) Pakistan, the other day strongly rejected as baseless, if the recent ‘unsuccessful’ attack carried out on the Afghan parliament was a plot drawn in the neighboring country.
The statement added Pakistan was sure that ‘neither the Afghan people nor the international community would be misled by these motivated allegations.’
This is while Afghanistan National Directorate for Security (NDS) said it has clear evidences uncovering Pakistan’s Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) involvement in many practical and potential deadly plots in Afghanistan.  But, the embassy in the statement condemned the recent attack on the Afghan house of people and called it “cowardly acts of terrorists” adding ‘the government of Pakistan reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.’  We affirm our resolve to fight terrorism in close coordination with the government of Afghanistan”, the statement assured.
Last week’s suicide attacks on the country’s parliament, though left no lawmaker dead or critically injured, but sparked anger from the NDS accusing Pakistan’s backed Haqqani terrorist network to be behind the incident and a Pakistani ISI-linked officer to have projected the plot.
