Rocket Attack on Kabul Won’t Go Unanswered: President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Asharf Ghani has said there will be accountability in all spheres of the security and defense sector, insisting Tuesday’s rocket and mortar attack on Kabul city would not be treated indifferently.
According to BNA report, presiding over a security meeting about Kabul at the Presidential palace on Tuesday evening, the President directed all security and defense forces to boost security measures in Kabul and provinces to prevent such an attack in future. The President was speaking hours after Daesh militants fired several rockets and mortars at various parts of Kabul city including the Presidential Palace. Security officials said the attack came to an end after two assailants were killed and six civilians and security officials injured. At the meeting, the President was briefed about the attack and the response of security forces. After hearing the report, President Ghani thanked the special ground and air forces for their swift response to the attack. The President insisted all security organs should be accountable. He said the people of Afghanistan wanted an accountable government.
