Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in meeting with officials from German Development Agency (GTZ) here in Arg yesterday said that the reviving and rehabilitation of minting press can help government to increase its income as it can print valuable papers, graduation degrees for schools and universities, trade labels, etc.
He also added that the cabinet had approved renovation of the minting press and also allocated land for the purpose. In addition to GTZ, the ministry of finance would allocate fund for reviving the minting press, the president added.
The GTZ delegation in the meeting said that it had special plan for reviving minting press and training its employees, calling on Afghan government provide facilities. Instructing finance ministry and land authorities to help with GTZ in reviving minting press, the president also noted that German experts have to manage the working quality of the entity.
