Pul-e-Khumri (BNA) 16 prisoners including a girl yesterday released from a prison in the northern province of Baghlan.
According to Hashmatullah Hasham, provincial director of Justice for Baghlan, the prisoners have been released based on a verdict issued on the occasion of Milad of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) by Hamid Karzai, president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
According to Colonel Mohammad Aslam Kohistani, general director for Pul-e-Khumri prisons, currently there are 354 prisoners including 18 women in Pul-e-Khumri prison.
