President Ghani Praises ANDSF for Repulsing Taliban’s Attack in Kunduz

Kabul (BNA) Presidential Palace in a statement condemned Taliban’s attack on northern city of Kunduz here yesterday.
According to BNA report, the statement said that Taliban once again targeted civilians and public places and wanted to deteriorate the situation in the city, but received a harsh and timely response and their attacks were repulsed by the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF). “Taliban once again showed their enmity with people and their intension for continuation of war with targeting the civilians, public and welfare places, that statement added. Condemning the attack, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said protecting the people and their properties were the main priority and government was committed in this regard. The President, as quoted in the statement, went on saying that Taliban’s recent move was contrary to their leaders’ stance in Doha, adding Afghan people want peace and ending of war. Thanking Afghan forces’ timely response to attack in Kunduz, the President said ANDSF were the true sons of the soil that have always sacrificed themselves to protect their people.
