Cooperation With Affected People Demonstrates National Unity: Khalili

Kabul (BNA) The second vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili in a meeting with elders, religious scholars and cultural figures of central region of the country yesterday said that the sympathy shown by Afghans with the landslide affected people in Aabe Bareek village of Argo district in Badakhshan displayed the national unity of the people of Afghanistan.  Presidential press office said BNA, in the meeting also attended by some lawmakers and university professors, the participants first expressed their sympathy with the victims of natural disasters in the country.
Elders from Bamyan, Daikundi, Ghor, Ghazni, Wardak and Kabul provinces in the meeting expressed their concerns over insecurity on the roads, calling on government to provide security for the roads and communication networks in the mentioned provinces.
With regard to the concerns of the people over security problems on the roads, the vice president pointed out that like the past the government considers ensuring security as its prime objective and assured the delegates that the government would spare no efforts in strengthening security in each corner of the country and the national security forces are capable enough to provide security for the citizens.
