Improving Security In Nuristan Government’s Priority: CE

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in meeting with a delegation of elders and notables from Nuristan province who called on him here yesterday said that the government gives priority to improving security situation in the said province.
The delegation among other problems also said that acting provincial governor should be replaced with appointed governor.
After listening to their problems, the chief executive promised that the government would spare no efforts to solve the problems of Nuristan problems.
According to another report, a delegation of elders from Baghlan, Badakhshan, Kabul and Ismaeli sect called on the chief executive here yesterday and apprised him about their problems.
In the meeting, the delegation of Ismaeli sect announced their support to the government of national unity and especially to the chief executive.
The chief executive, according to another report, received a delegation of the social body the Khetmatgaran Tolani here yesterday and said that Kabul needs reconstruction.
However, he noted that unfortunately little attention has been paid over the past 15 years to the rebuilding process of Kabul city.
Apprising the chief executive about their problems and demands, the delegation said that Kabul security needs improvement, the grabbed lands should be regained by government, environment should be made clean and sewerage system should operational.
Kabul should have elected mayor, the delegation noted.
The chief executive after hearing to the delegation said that the government would do its best to change Kabul into a clean and modern city with green belt and active mayor.
