Commerce Ministry Will Supervise The Distribution Process

Kabul (BNA) Daily from 100 to 150 tons of liquid gas is being distributed through government and semi-government outlets by the Ministry of Commerce and Industries. 
Wahedullah Ghazikhail, spokesperson of the ministry told the media on the motives behind rise in prices of liquid gas and noted that one factor was stoppage of gas export to Afghanistan by Kazakhstan. 
He added that non-availability of strategic storages inside the country and short-term contracts by the private sector with the exporting countries also formed part of the problem. 
He added that on the basis of instructions of the president of the country, the ministry of commerce and industries has purchased 10,000 tons of liquid gas and so far over 2700 tons of gas has arrived in Kabul which is distributed through 33 government and 80 semi-government outlets in Kabul city. 
He stressed that at the government out a kg of gas is sold at Afs.55 and in semi-government at Afs. 59 and those who violate this will be fined accordingly. 
He noted that representatives from the ministry, attorney general office, national security department and security organs will supervise the process.
