Ulema Council Head, Senior Police Officer of Uruzgan Killed In Taliban Attacks

Trinkot (BNA) Head of the Ulema council of Urozgan province and a senior police commander lost lives in two militant attacks.
Maulawi Lal Mohammad, head of the Ulema council was on his way from Urozgan to neighboring Kandahar province when he came under the militant attack yesterday.
Dost Mohammad Nayab, spokesman for the governor of Urozgan province said three people including Maulawi Lal Mohammad lost lives in the attack.  He identified the other two as Ahmad Shah Khan and driver of the vehicle.  He said the vehicle they were driving in actually belonged to the deputy police chief Rahimullah.
Rahimullah is the brother of Urozgan’s former police chief Matiullah Khan who had a tough strategy against Taliban.
He embraced martyrdom in a militant attack in capital Kabul in March.
