KABUL (BNA) The foreign minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Amir khan Muttaqi will hold a talk with the U.S as well Russian representatives on the sideline of the 3rd foreign ministers’ meeting held today in Tunxi of China.
Lately, China foreign minister spokesman said in his regular press conference on 28 march 2022 “The Afghan situation is now in a critical transition from chaos to order, with the Afghan people still facing multiple challenges from within and outside that need to be addressed with more support and help from others”
Hosting the third Foreign Ministers’ Meeting among the Neighboring Countries of Afghanistan, China looks forward to pooling more consensus on the Afghan issue from neighboring countries, discussing ways to jointly stabilize the Afghan situation and support and help the Afghan people, and share our voice with the rest of the international community as neighbors of Afghanistan.
Tom West, the U.S. special representative for Afghanistan, will attend the talks of the so-called Extended Troika: the three world powers plus Pakistan, the State Department spokesperson said.
The meeting takes place while foreign ministers from Afghanistan’s neighbors meet on Wednesday and Thursday in the eastern Chinese province of Anhui
The meeting will be chaired by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and attended by Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, and diplomats from Pakistan, Iran, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia and Qatar.
