Residents Applaud Govt.’s Decision On Gezab District’s Split Into Two Administrative Units

Kabul (BNA)  A number of students and youth of the Gezab district of Daikundi province met with second vice president here yesterday and enumerated range of problems and challenges, asking the government to address their issues and thanked NUG for classification of Gezab district into two administrative units.
According to them, considering the economic, political, social and geographical situation of Gezab district, classification of which into two administrative units, is indeed the people’s right and would have its positive impact in the future.
The second vice president said that delay on classification of the district into two administrative units was acceptable, adding that people’s continuous focuses made the government to decide on the district.
“For implementation of the decisions taken on this aspect, the Independent Directorate of Local Organs tasked to prepare a report and in the light of said report, practical steps would be taken,” VP Danesh said.
Gezab is one of Daikundi’s district and during the ex-president Hamid Karzai tenure, the district was associated to Urozgan province.
