Rain Related Incidents Claim Four Lives In Daikundi

Kabul (BNA) Heavy rain fall has resulted in the floods in parts of central Daikundi province of Afghanistan leaving four people killed, an official said on Sunday.
Raza Sadiqi, head of provincial directorate of response to the natural disasters said that two people were killed in Kiti district, one in Mir Amur district and another in the provincial capital.
“A 60-year-old woman and 12-year-old girl lost lives due to heavy rain fall and floods in Giti district,” Sediqi said. “Also, a 25-year-old boy and a shipper lost lives in Miramor district and in the provincial capital.”
Sediqi added that it has also caused damages to the roads and those connecting districts to the provincial capital have been cut off.
Meanwhile, provincial council of Daikundi says that the provincial directorate for response to the natural disaster has no arrangements for responding to the emergency situations.
Torrential rains have also embraced other parts of the country from past several days.
It has ruined several houses and disrupted transportation in the affected areas including capital Kabul.
