Kabul (BNA) Follows a message of Marshal Mohammad Qasem Fahim, First Vice-President on the Third of Hot the revolt of the people of Kabul against the puppet regime and aggression of the former Soviet Army to Afghanistan.
Dear countrymen, Kabul residents, sisters and brothers,
The third of Hoot of 1358 is recalled as an historical epic-making day. On this day, the brave people of Kabul started a massive demonstration against the invasion of the Red Army of the time.
This revolt that took place with the slogan of Allah Akbar throughout Kabul city in the dawn the people started marching on the streets of the capital city that shocked the ruling authorities.
The revolt of the Kabul people and the solidarity of Kabul people with other segments of the Afghan nation shocked the ruling elite of the country and as a result of this they ordered attacking the protestors during which hundreds of marchers were martyred and wounded and some others were arrested by the ruling authorities whereabouts of whom is not known to date.
The revolt of Third of Hoot of 1358 of Kabul residents was self-propelled and popular which at the initial moment could not be controlled by the ruling regime and this spread to other provinces of the country and it instigated massive reaction by the people throughout the country.
This caused that political parties and Jehad against the communist regime and the aggression of the former Soviet Union start with the aim to free the country from the occupiers.
Thought the protest march in Kabul ended with martyring of hundreds of its residents, but this revolt instigated the people of the country to unite against the occupiers and to free the country.
Thirty three years passes from the revolt of Kabul residents but the name of the men and women of this city remains eternal in the history who sacrificed themselves for the freedom of their land. And, the people should mark other days too that their dear ones have laid their lives in the struggle against the occupiers.
With the Third of Hoot of 1358, in reality the people of Kabul recorded their epic in the history we therefore pray for the souls of the martyrs of Kabul revolt and other martyrs of the country who laid their lives for shaping the new order in Afghanistan as well.
