Kabul (BNA) Eklil Hakimi, Minister of Finance met ambassadors and representatives of the United States of America, Germany, Norway, England, Japan, European Union and United State Agency for International Development in the presence of Najibullah Ahmadzai, head of the Independent Election Commission and Abdul Aziz Aryaee, head of the Electoral Complaints Commission in his office here yesterday, a statement from the ministry said.
The meeting discussed government preparation for parliamentary elections, funding method and provision of financial resources, more secure transparency, establishing of an accurate mechanism for election and some other important subjects, the statement added. The government is committed to establish accurate and transparent budget mechanisms and systems to reduce the cost and expenses of election and increase its effectiveness, the statement concluded.
