CE, NATO Civil Representative Discuss Warsaw Preparation

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met Ismail Aramaz NATO’s senior civil representative here yesterday in Sapidar Palace, his press office said in a statement.
According to the statement, the two sides discussed Afghanistan preparation of Warsaw meeting which will be held in July 8-9 of 2016 in Poland with participation of the NATO member states. The country’s Chief Executive said that the Afghan government would participate the meeting with full preparation in defense and security sectors, hoping to receive the durable support of the NATO member states for Afghanistan. Dr. Abdullah went on as saying that Afghanistan has been implementing reform in security organs, adding that the National Unity Government is fully committed to bring reform in defensive and security organs.
NATO senior civil representative said that NATO member states are committed to their long-term support of Afghanistan, adding that the Warsaw meeting would be held to review military assistance to Afghanistan. According to Ismail Aramaz, they are working with line ministries and other organs in planning and preparation phases and have been prepared to attend the conference. According to another report, Salahuddin Rabbani, minister of foreign affairs also met Ismail Aramaz, NATO’s senior civilian representative to Afghanistan here in Kabul yesterday, a statement from his office said. According to the statement, in the meeting both sides talked about the preparations on WARSAW Summit which is due to be held next week. Likewise, during the meeting, both sides exchanged views on Afghanistan’s situation, government’s recent achievements and preparations for Brussels summit on Afghanistan.
