Kabul (BNA) The oversight role of Provincial Councils (PCs) will be reinstated via presidential legislative decree; this was stated by Matin Big the acting head of Local Organs Independent Directorate, said the other day, BNA reported.
In a meeting chaired by Second Vice President, Sarwar Danesh and attended by representatives from PCs, Big said that the oversight role of PCs will be reinstated by presidential legislative decree and later the House of People would ratify it and then Council of Ministers (CMs) would approve the law. Meantime, Big hoped that the PCs would open their offices in coming days, adding reinstating the role of oversight of PCs is important for ensuring good governance in provinces.
