Any Decision Made By Legislators Would Be Respected: President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani received a delegation of lawmakers from Badakhshan, Baghlan, Kunduz, Takhar and Samangan provinces in Arg yesterday.
Presidential press office said BNA; the lawmakers besides appreciating the president over government’s achievements over the past one month also briefed him about the problems of their provinces.
After hearing the legislators, the president said that improving security situation especially in Kunduz province is among the priorities of his government. S
tressing for fighting corruption, the president said that ensuring good governance requires fundamental reforms.  Using military power alone cannot bring about peace, the president said, adding balanced development in provinces is essential in guaranteeing peace and stability. The president also noted that the country would be the witness of major change within the next 18 months and achieving this goal requires active participation of the lawmakers. “I neither belong to a political family nor to a party, rather I belong to all the people of Afghanistan,” president Ghani said, adding, he respects all the decisions made by the national assembly.
