Saturday November 5, 2016

Kabul (BNA) Aqrab 15 is coincided with ninth martyrdom anniversary of ‘Shaheed Sayed Mustafa Kazemi’, a prominent politician, former minister of commerce and head of economic commission of the parliament who had been martyred in 1386.
At the first Bonn Conference, Martyr Kazemi had an active and effective presence who was also attracted by the world. In addition to his cultural and political characteristics, he was an active and genius person in the field of economy. When he was the minister of commerce and also head of the parliament economic commission, had done much to establish an effective business system in the country. After collapse of the Taliban regime and establishment of the interim government, the ministry for commerce headed by Mustafa Kazemi was the first developed very soon. As one of his achievements when he was the minister of commerce, was removal of old administrative system of the ministry and establishing a new one—a move that could be felt within a few months. When he started to reform the program on distribution of activity permit for private investors, he faced many challenges. But soon the Kazemi’s programs have shown their results, and as hundreds of private companies started working, millions of dollars had poured to the government empty treasury.
Decreasing European countries’ customs tariffs on Afghanistan’s merchandizes was another achievement of Shaheed Kazemi that provided the way to the people of Afghanistan to easily sell their goods in the world markets. Due to his eligibilities and previous experiences, Kazemi was elected as head of the parliament’s economic commission, during which he opened a new chapter toward economy in Afghanistan. His last trip on Aqrab 15, 1386 was to north where a ceremony was being held to re-open a sugar factory as part of a plan to improve and build the economy in the northeastern Baghlan province. During the ceremony, six parliamentarians, large groups of people, including children and elderly people were lined up to assist in the inauguration of the facility. But unfortunately, a suicide attacker had blown himself up among them, leaving dozens killed and injured including the parliamentarians. The sworn-enemies who don’t want peace restored in Afghanistan have always made effort to commit antihuman acts on national personalities and ordinary people. But a question rises that why such a person should be killed? What did he do that the enemies targeted him? In fact, Kazemi had always risen the slogan of national unity and wanted the nation’s investment to be spent on them. There is no doubt that some foreign circles have always tried to create hostility among the people and shed the blood of innocents without any reason.
