Kabul (BNA) The head of justice department of the US embassy during his visit to the Ikhtiarudin castle in Herat city said that United States would continue to maintain and preserve historic monuments and cultural heritage of Afghanistan.
While accompanied by Ahmad Ahsan Sarwaryar the director of culture and information department of Herat, the US diplomat assured his government’s continued support in preserving and maintaining archeological sites and historical monuments.
The work for the second phase of the rehabilitation of Ikhtiarudin castle with US financial support had been completed in two years and work for the third phase would be begin in near future.
