Water Shortage Problems To Be Met In Some Provinces

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a meeting with a number of elders from Herat, Badghi, Jauzjan and Faryab provinces said he would do his best to tackle water shortage and animal husbandry problems, according to a statement from the Presidential Palace said Tuesday.
The president, after hearing the elders shared problems about lack of water and other fields, said that he had instructed the ministry of agriculture and livestock to address problems related to water shortage and other problems related to the livestock owners.
He said he would discuss issues related to the strengthening of raising livestock in the country with the Turkmenistan President as soon as possible, the statement added.
“At least 11 months needed to discuss and finalize issues related to the ranches and pastures and that the country’s livestock owners have to share their experiences in this field,” said the president as quoted in the statement.
The president also instructed the security and defense organs to purchase livestock with reasonable prices and lodge it into their routine menu so that the livestock owners not face financial loss, the statement added.
He also instructed the ministries of education and public health to help tackle the Kochis health and education problems in different provinces of the country and people in the remote provinces should be included in the ID (Tazkera) distribution process, by the population registration admin and Central Statistics Office, the statement said.
