Canada’s former ambassador to Afghanistan, Chris Alexander said, Afghanistan is being invaded by mercenaries equipped, funded & trained by a neighboring state.
If this proxy war were happening in Europe, or elsewhere in Asia, it would be strongly condemned, instead this invasion is ignored by those whose soldiers died fighting it, Alexander tweeted.
In an article titled ‘Ending Pakistan’s proxy war in Afghanistan’, published in The Hill, Chris Alexander also expressed his views saying that “Those in Pakistan still supporting proxy war in Afghanistan should face tough sanctions. Pakistan should be on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) blacklist.”
