Five Cabinet Ministers Took Oath

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai chaired the plenary meeting of the Council of Ministers at the Presidential Palace yesterday during which five new cabinet ministers Zarar Ahmad Usmani Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deen Mohammad Mubarez Rashedi Minister of Counter-Narcotics, Mohammad Akbar Barekzai Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Mohammad Aref Nourzai Minister of Energy and Water, and Shaker Kargar Minister of Commerce and Industries who have obtained vote of confidence from the House of People as per the provision of article 74 of Constitution took the oath in presence of president Karzai and cabinet members.
The Council of Ministers congratulating the new cabinet ministers, wished them success in performing their duties.
The complaints of the students of Logar province with respect to dissolution of university entrance test in the province was taken up. The CM assigned the minister of higher education to assess this issue and prevent its repetition in other provinces and appraise the presidential office.
Afterwards Minister of Education informed the CM with respect to martyrdom of Tawabullah 7th grade student of Qudratullah Shaheed school of Kapisa who after receiving of text books of 1393 from his related high school was taken under firing on the way to his home by security post of national army and urged assessment of the issue.
President Hamid Karzai in his telephonic conversation sought information from the martyred father and instructed the ministers of national defense and interior affairs to arrest the perpetrator of this incident and legally deal with him.
Meanwhile, the CM issued instructions to the ministers of transport and civil aviation to closely assess progress of work on the Khost Airport project and report to the presidential office.
As per the proposal of urban development minister, the CM tasked the ministers of finance and urban development to resolve the custom process of equipment of the Russian Federation Company working for rehabilitation of the prefabricated housing plant.
As per the agenda, the environmental problems of Pamir of Badakhshan with respect to the formation of Pamir Development Administration within the framework of presidential office, distribution of identity cards, distribution of voting cards, survey, design and building of small and large Pamir roads, construction of three school buildings and dormitory at the Pamir and three health clinics and two health centers in small Pamir in the area of Munara and Ghajir and one health clinic in large Pamir in the area of Arghanaq, dispatching of necessary medicine to both Pamirs, payment of necessary salaries to the doctors and teachers were discussed in presence of two representatives of Pamir area.
The related minister also informed the CM with respect to the performances of their ministries. The CM instructed the ministry of rehabilitation and rural development and frontier and tribal affairs to take up the problems with the related ministries and appraise the presidential office.
Meanwhile, the CM evaluated the proposal of the ministry of public health covering afs 10,430,000 for building of two health clinics, creation of a health center and increasing the salaries of the doctors at the Pamirs and adopted it.
The CM also issued instruction to defense ministry to hand over an ambulance to the health ministry and transfer it to Pamirs and other related departments were assigned to advance their proposals for solving the problems of Pamirs to the presidential office and the ministry of finance should provide the required budget.
