A Township will be Built for Southeast Earthquake Victims

KABUL (BNA) Chaired by Mawlavi Sharafuddin Muslim, the Deputy Minister for Natural Disaster Management, in a coordination meeting discussed the establishment of the residential township for the victims of the southeast, on Thursday.

The Afghan Deputy Minister for Disaster Management Affairs said “After dealing with the urgent needs of the earthquake victims, a permanent residency place will be built for the suffered once.

He said people’s hopes are on the IEA, adding necessary measures should be taken to handle and rehabilitate the destroyed sites.

Other IEA organs officials of the relevant departments stressed the creation of a technical team consisting of government departments and institutions to survey and meet the needs of the earthquake victims.

According to reports, the meeting decided to carry out a detailed geological survey in the affected site to check the capacity and other parts of the construction, and also to establish a committee under the chairmanship of Mawlavi Sharafuddin Muslim, deputy Minister for Disaster Management Affairs, for transparency in the distribution of aid.

The formation of the committee will also focus to hold coordination meetings with national and international organizations and attracting assistance, added reports.
