President Ahmadzai Meets Iranian Vice President

Kabul (BNA) Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met Monday evening with Iranian Vice President, Shariat Madari. Presidential press office said BNA, in the meeting held at the Presidential Palace, Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran offered warm greetings and best wishes of Iranian President Dr. Hassan Rouhani on the occasion of Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai’s election as Afghan President and wishing him further success.
“There have been good relations between Iran and Afghanistan during the past 13 years,” Shariat Madari said. Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran asserted that wisely leadership of President Karzai has resulted in peaceful transition of power in Afghanistan.
Shariat Madari while assuring of Iran’s continued long-term cooperation with Afghanistan said stability and strength of Afghanistan were our desire and they would make efforts related to providing high education facilities to Afghan refugees in Iran.
President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan praised the Iranian Vice President for participation in inauguration ceremony, considering role of Chabahar Port as key in extension of economic relations between the two countries.
President Ahmadzai asked for ways to find proper markets for export products of Afghanistan in Iran.
The country’s president praised the Islamic Republic of Iran for its consideration related to providing high education facilities to Afghan refugees in Iran.
Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai stressed that relations of Afghanistan with other countries of the world would not put Afghanistan’s relations with Iran under shadow, saying Afghanistan soil would not be used against any other countries as the previous government had always stressed.
