NUG’s Doors Open To Peace, CE

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met yesterday with negotiating body of Hezb-e-Islami at Sapidar palace.
In the meeting attended by chief executive first deputy, Mohammad Natiqi, Merwais Yasini and Nasrullah Arsalayee, members of the negotiating body praised the country’s chief executive for his sincere efforts in succeeding the peace talks between the government and Hezb-e-Islami.
In his speech, head of the delegation Eng. Mohammad Amin Karim told chief executive, “If there were not your sincere cooperation and support, the process would not be succeeded. You were the first person who has declared his support from the process in the government.”
He added that they had come to the country for peace and ending the war and said that they should give hands for building and repulsing internal and external threats and together work for reconstruction of the country.
Meanwhile, another member of the negotiating delegation Ghairat Baheer also praised chief executive for his efforts in succeeding the peace talks, saying that from now on Hezb-e-Islami would stand beside the government in identification and counter enemies of the government.
Afterwards, chief executive first deputy Eng. Mohammad Khan said, “Success of the peace process between the government and Hezb-e-Islami is proving that Afghans reach agreement among each other soon.”
He added that the process was showing the determination of both sides for peace and clarifying that both sides really wanted peace.
