Kabul (BNA) The chairman of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) Dr. Ahmad Yusuf Nuristani once again emphasized on holding of election on its due date.
BNA correspondent reported, speaking at the second coordination meeting with the presidential candidates added that upcoming presidential and the provincial councils’ elections will be held on its due date.
He attributed the aim of the meeting exchanging of views and advice for holding of the transparent and nationwide election.
He stressed that all the activities of the IEC will be aligned compatible with the IEC’s calendar independently and impartially noting that no one will be permitted to intervene in the election directly or indirectly. He pointed that the expenses of each candidate during the electoral campaign is specified at afs 10 million and asked the candidates to be transparent in expending money in the process.
He added that election will be organized in 94% of voting sites in the country and the security of the candidates will be ensured by the Afghan security forces.
