Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Sarwar Danesh, in a meeting with a number of Kabul elders and influential said ensuring peace was the responsibility of the government and that peaceful demonstration was the right of any Afghan citizens, a statement from his office said Friday.
The elders thanked and hailed the vice-president for his effort to address the recent dispute happened on commander Alipor’s arrest and putting an end to the tension, said the statement. The elders asked the vice-president for releasing the remaining of arrested protesters, with Mohammad Sarwar Danesh pledged to follow the issue through related organs, according to the statement.
