Kabul (BNA) The Afghanistan national cricket team defeated Zimbabwe team-A by 16 runs in Bulawayo Athletic Club.
Afghanistan set a target of 210 runs for Zimbabwe team-A who had won the toss and elected to field first.
Usman Ghani scored the highest run on the batting side for Afghanistan after making 79 runs form 110 balls by hitting 6 fours and 3 sixes.
On the bowling side, Sharafuddin Ashraf took 6 wickets from 9.3 overs, while Mirwais Ashraf took two wickets and Shapoor Zadran and Mohammad Nabi took one wicket each.
The Zimbabwe a team was restricted to 193 runs from 48.3 overs after they lost all their wickets. Afghanistan is expecting to play a second tour game at the same venue on Tuesday ahead of the four match ODI series.
